My name is Iris and I was born in Sydney, Australia but currently reside in the South Island of New Zealand. I have a cat called Hufflepuff (we all call her Huffle) who is so named because she’s black and yellow and “a bit of a duffer”, a dog called Scamp after Lady and Tramp’s son, a brother, and my parents. Depressingly enough I found out I am about 3cm too short to be accepted as a Flight Attendant, which had been my dream job for over 10 years, so now I plan to go to University and learn Japanese and Linguistics as a double-major and TESOL as a minor before moving to Japan and teaching English.

I speak a little French and learnt Italian for four years, but it’s all left me now ^^

I love English, French, Roman and Greek history as well as the Roman, Greek and Norse myths and legends. I adore reading and I love manga. Some of my favorites of the above include; Jane Austen, the Bronte Sisters, Lord of the Rings, Chobits, Hana Yori Dango, Ouran High School Host Club, Hana-Kimi, Bishojo Senshi Sailor Moon and Vampire Knight. Another fad I've recently got into is Asian Dramas, and so far I've enjoyed Coffee Prince, 9 End 2 Outs, Last Scandal, Hana Yori Dango, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, Beethoven Virus and, more recently, Boys Before Flowers.
